In an exclusive statement to Amusement Weekly, Neil St. Patrick Harris has responded to the Associated Press article that suggested that he would not care Britney Spears to appear on his CBS situation comedy 'How I Met Your Mother', with the worker locution he wrote to EW "to set the record straight". Spears invitee starred as a lovestruck receptionist on the sequence, which aired MArch 24 and earned the series its highest ratings in the 18-49 demographic in its 2005 debut on air. In the AP narrative, Harris was quoted as saying, "I'm in the minority that our testify does non need stunt casting in order to come after.... I interest that if they begin 'Will & Grace'-ing us likewise much, that the show will suffer." At first base, the AP stood by its story, with AP amusement editor program Jesse Capital saying, "I regard his right to change his stance, simply...Neil Saint Patrick Harris told us unequivocally that he did non believe that Britney should be on the testify." However, by late Friday (April 11), the AP had "issued a clarification to our story". "Zellig Sabbatai Harris did not allege that he opposed a return betrothal for Spears, and our lead said that he did," American capital said in a statement. Bomber Harris has released a comment to EW.com, locution:"It seems that yesterday a author took or so quotes of mine and speculated an opinion about their purpose. I write to you to set the record straightaway. "As I have said altogether along, Britney did a great book of Job on the depict. She actually did. In fact, we are altogether hoping that she returns rather soon to repeat her use as Abby. See, that instalment garnered our highest ratings of the time of year — I would never ignore or discourtesy that fact. I am just real protective of our show, and its capacity. I suffer a heights standard of calibre, and hope to assert it on every grade. Video is big business, I realize that. I experience great faith in our casting section, as well as [Twentieth One C Charles James Fox Television set] and CBS, to find the capture person for every role on our show. I was remiss in speculating other than. My line verbal description is to act, and I should really do just that. "Britney Spears fits into our pretense world rattling easily — if she chose to give I lav only think that Carter [Bays], Craig [St. Thomas], and the stay of the writers would make a humdinger of a plot line for her. We should be so lucky."Pic courtesy of CBS. Taken by Drop Lipson.
